With a deep love for the hunt, Kat spends weekends scouring estate sales and Wednesdays weaving through thrift shops across the Midwest. She’s always on the lookout for pieces that hold character, history, and a bit of mystery—treasures that can be elevated and reimagined into meaningful, unexpected, and beautiful moments.

From a young age, Kat has been drawn to design and collecting. What started as a childhood passion has evolved into a mission: helping others create spaces that feel personal, elevated, and effortlessly cool.

Kat is especially sensitive to the needs of young adults who are often navigating new spaces and transitions. She brings a nurturing, thoughtful approach to her work—helping clients create a home that truly feels like home. Her process is collaborative, encouraging, and grounded in the belief that beauty and comfort should be accessible to everyone.

    Interior designer Kat at Urban Lark did an incredible job updating a rental condo I was getting ready to put on the market. Kat is a true professional who understands trends but also knows how to personalize spaces and bring unique touches to a space. Kat chose the perfect paint colors, sourced fabulous contemporary light fixtures, and transformed the kitchen cabinets with a cost-effective sage-hued lacquer and modern hardware. She also brought in beautiful accessories that added warmth and interest to the unit.
